Benchmade 42 vs 62, I love the look of the benchmade 62 because it is close to the benchmade 42, but the benchmade 51 is cheaper (and some opinions think it is better for flipping). Eventually, Benchmade is promising different blade profiles and different handle finishes. The 42 is in great condition and has a more rare spring latch that is very strong. This series included the 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, and 48. Im a big fan of heavier stainless balisongs (Kimura, Tsunami, older PCC and Benchmade models before the 42) & i prefer my BM42 T-latch vs the spring latch, so i dont see any of this as a negative. The 42's simpler pins should allow Benchmade to fill special orders much faster. S. The 62 seems to have been heat anodized on the original scales before I received it however I sent it to benchmade and it was cleaned up the best they could and it is much better than before however it is still there.
